View of the back of the house and deck This is another view of the deck taken from the vegetable garden. Being a wildlife habitat, I try to consider plants that are not only pleasing in appearance and fragrance but how they will entice and nurture wildlife.
Throughout the garden we have a variety of garden art which adds additional interest and textures. This is a dripper bird bath made from a power insulator.  It is a favorite with the birds in the summer.  Insulator bird bath
View looking south  On the left side of this picture is a view of the "orchard" and  the Grandchildren's Gardens. There is a gravel path that winds through these gardens. The "orchard" contains apple, plum, pear and peach trees. Yearly pruning prevents them from getting too big.
This is a view of Maddie's garden. You can see her butterfly sign. Each of the kids planted their own gardens and made signs with their names and birth dates engraved on them. Most of the flowers in Maddie's garden are perennials that will attract Butterflys. Maddie's garden
